Overview
Beta testing can be an exciting opportunity to try out new features or enhancements in an app. However, beta versions can also have bugs. While these can be frustrating, you have the ability to switch back to the current Heroes app version at any time.
This guide will walk you through the steps to add and remove your beta version of KARE Heroes on both Apple and Android phones. In order to participate in the beta version, you must have a public beta link.
Manage beta versions on Android
Adding the beta version
To add the new KARE Heroes 2.0 version on Android, follow these steps:
1. Click the link to the beta version
2. Verify that the title contains (Beta)
3. Tap Install
ℹ️Note: By installing the beta version, you will remove the existing version on your app. You can retrieve the old version at any time.
Removing the beta version
If you wish to go back to the current Heroes app version, you can do so by following these directions:
1. Remove the beta application from your phone
2. Go to the Play Store
3. Find the KARE Heroes app
4. On the KARE Heroes app page, find the section titled You’re a beta tester
5. Click Leave and confirm
Once you leave, it may take a few minutes to remove you from the beta program. Refresh your search for KARE Heroes to see that the version on the app store doesn’t contain the (Beta) part. This will be the previous version.

Adding the beta version
To download the beta version on Apple, you must have an app called TestFlight installed.
Once you have installed TestFlight, make sure you have your public link to the KARE Heroes beta app available. To download KARE Heroes 2.0 beta:
1. Open the beta invite link
2. The link should redirect you to KARE Heroes in TestFlight
3. Tap Install
4. If you already have the old version of KARE Heroes downloaded, you’ll need to confirm installation of the new version.
ℹ️ Note: The old version will be removed until you re-install it. You are unable to have both the new and older versions downloaded simultaneously.
Removing the beta version
If you wish to reinstall the older version of KARE Heroes, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Apple Store
2. Find KARE Heroes
3. Tap the download button
By installing the older version, you will remove the TestFlight version.
